**Step 1:**As we know, a whole of something is equal to 100%. In this case, we want to find what 1% of 536 is. We know that 100% of 536 is, well, just 536.**Step 2:**If 100% of 536 is 536, then we can get 1% of 536 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 536 / 100. This is equal to 5.36. Now we know that 1% is 5.36.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 536 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 5.36 times 1 = 5.36. That's all there is to it!
